Reservations required as space is limited, call 808-245-3678 ext 2542 to reserve. Suggested $5 donation to assist Kōloa School. Visit the area where the Hawai‘i sugar industry got started.
Grove Farm will share historical information regarding Kōloa Mill and Allan Smith who served in various leadership positions in the sugar industry and retired as a Senior Vice President for Grove Farm Co. and Jan TenBruggencate who grew up on a pineapple plantation on Molokai and is the author of the books “Lihue Mill: Grinding Cane and Building Community” and “Grove Farm: 150 Years of Stewardship and Innovation,” will be on hand to “talk story” about plantation life.
The tour will encompass a visit to view the exterior of the Kōloa Mill and will include a ride to Waita Reservoir and the Wilcox Tunnel. Reservations required as shuttle seating is limited.
